Music
Music is more than a career for me—it's a legacy. My grandfather, Leonard Chess, founded the iconic Chess Records in 1950, a label that became synonymous with shaping the sound of blues, rock, and R&B. Artists like Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Etta James, and Chuck Berry found their voices at Chess Records, and their music laid the foundation for countless genres to follow.
Continuing this tradition, my father, Marshall Chess, has made significant contributions to the music industry. As a producer, executive, and innovator, he helped expand the Chess Records legacy and played an instrumental role in projects such as the Rolling Stones’ record label, Rolling Stones Records. His influence and vision have been key in advancing the family’s musical impact.
Building on this rich heritage, I’ve pivoted my career to focus on the vibrant world of Latin music. My achievements in this space include being honored as one of Billboard’s 30 Under 30 and receiving an ASCAP Award. From identifying emerging talent to leading groundbreaking projects, I continue to champion the global impact of Latin music while staying true to my family’s pioneering spirit.
For me, music is about storytelling and connection, blending tradition with innovation to create something timeless.
